Spread the Word!
The Tuesday Morning Click Tip Newsletter always stresses the importance of content in your web site.  Search engines are hungry for content and people are more likely to discover your site as a result of abundant text directly or indirectly relevant to the nature of your site.  In addition to content, branding is also most important.  You must build on branding yourself, your product or service, and there are several ways and means to successfully accomplish this.

If you consider why you personally find yourself loyal to a particular brand, you realize that the respective name has garnered a significant level of trust, satisfaction and confidence in your connection to that brand or name.  That's the same kind of regard you want to build into your own business product or service.  One of many ways to achieve this is to become a trusted expert in your field.  If people trust you, they will trust what you are selling.

In your business, you want to portray a passion for what you're doing.  Take the time to fully comprehend the in's and out's of your product or service and be ready and willing to offer suggestions, ideas and knowledge related directly or indirectly to your product.  To coin the old cliché, "think outside the box".  If you offer bookkeeping services, any extended information like tax tips, or suggested software applications and recommended accounting methods will compliment your web site.  But the World Wide Web offers countless venues in which you can publish this information such as in the way of articles, newsletters and ezines.  Web sites like EzineArticles.com and ArticleAvenue.com form the tip of the iceberg.  These are sites that accept your article submission and/or allow you to make use of other articles which form valuable content for your site.  You can find countless sites by searching the web for article directories.  By launching yourself into article publishing you are really introducing yourself to the world of "Viral Marketing".  If the word itself, 'viral', seems to conjure up negative connotations, the effects and benefits are very positive.  On Line Viral Marketing is what Word of Mouth is off line.  The objective of viral marketing is to create a strategy to entice on line individuals to pass along your message.  And on line, the web is conducive for tremendous exponential growth.  Another great advantage of publishing articles is that the publishing web sites may notify opt-in subscribers interested in your content, when you have posted a new article.  Subscribers tend to receive e-mails with direct links to your published work.

Next week we'll talk about how to organize and prepare an effective article.  For now, we would stress how important it is to ensure your article is credible, has substance and should not be blatant in self promotion.  However your article can be expected to have a Resource Box, in which you can post your name, web site address, and a promotional call to action line.
